1 Chronicles
Originally, 1 and 2 Chronicles were one portion of Al-Kitab, known as Chronicles. It was split into two because of its length. Chronicles speaks about the same subjects as are found in 1 and 2 Samuel and 1 and 2 Kings. However, Chronicles places special emphasis on the prophet-king Dawud (pbuh) and his descendants. It also gives attention to the Holy House in Jerusalem built by Sulayman (pbuh) and those who led in worship there.
