This portion of Al-Kitab takes its name from the person to whom it was originally written–Titus. Titus was a preacher of the Injil who at one time had assisted the Apostle Paul in his work. Apostle Paul chose Titus to care for the local congregations of believers on the island of Crete in the Mediterranean Sea. In relatively few words, Apostle Paul instructs Titus on how a believer can demonstrate his devotion to God through good deeds, and how one can see the grace of God revealed in his life.
